We were part of an inter-disciplinary team pulled together by artist Andrew Small’s studio to build a public artwork as a centrepiece in the Intu shopping centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
The artwork contained a three-zone lighting system and we provided the software to control and configure the lighting pattern.
The system created its own WiFi network which allowed the customer to bring up a web page to configure assorted settings for the system: choose the pattern and speed with which the lighting varied; set the time/date; choose between what times the system would operate; and how quickly it would “chime” the hour by fading all the lights up and down.
