Back in July I had the great pleasure of presenting at TEDxLiverpool. It was an impressive roster of speakers, even if you omit the "TED royalty" of Sir Ken Robinson.
Over on his blog, Stuart Ian Burns has written an comprehensive round-up of the whole event, with videos of the rest of the talks.
In my talk, I give some background with my journey in technology that's led me to the Internet of Things, and then I tried a new approach to explaining what the Internet of Things could be. Weaving together a story featuring a host of existing IoT projects, I wanted to show an instance of the sort of Internet of Things that we're aiming for.
It needs some refining, but I think it's important for us to be sharing stories of how the Internet of Things can be empowering, playful, and desirable.
